Charlotte, NC – Eric Giangiordano, founder and Principal of Aviation Strategist™ firm STRATAGEM Aviation, LLC., was recently featured as co-author, together with project cargo expert Faycal Boumerkhoufa and Leslie Meredith, Editorial Director, on an article titled “How to Break into Government Contracts” in the 35th Anniversary Special issue of Breakbulk, featured at their annual Breakbulk Americas trade conference in Houston, TX.

The article, part of a series of stories featuring industry experts discussing various aspects of the business-to-government (B2G), military, and defense-related contracting, was widely distributed and well-received across the air cargo and air transport industry.

“It was a pleasure working with Faycal, Leslie, and the Breakbulk team on this article,” commented Giangiordano. “It allows me to jump back into the marketing and press arena, and they wanted to provide a ‘primer’ article for people and companies either new to government contracting, or struggling to gain traction in that sector, who might benefit from a broader overview of ‘do’s and don’ts’ to help guide the process and capture revenue opportunities.”

“I’ve learned a lot of lessons in the past 20 years in the B2G sector, both what works and what doesn’t, and referenced some of my bigger projects like building out the GovOPS™ division for client Jet Logistics. We’ve had tremendous success securing major domestic and international government agency contracts for air medical, passenger, and cargo/COMBI with GSA, Department of Defense, NASA, U.S. Marshals Service, VA, and more. And there have been some really interesting and demanding special operations missions too, like the joint heavy lift project we did for the US Navy to Europe at XPO Logistics with our Global Air Transport and Freight Forwarding divisions.”

Giangiordano concluded, “The project cargo and special mission/heavy lift sector is a key sector of the aviation industry that is not well-understood by the general public. Breakbulk is a leader in representing that market, so I encourage anyone involved in aviation to follow Breakbulk – and check out all the great content in this latest issue”: https://issuu.com/breakbulk/docs/breakbulk_magazine_issue_5_2025_issuu/72
